Certification
ISO 9001: 2008 Certification
What is ISO 9001: 2008?
The International Organization for Standardization, better known as ISO, is a worldwide, non-governmental organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. Since being founded in February 1947, ISO has worked to establish recognized and accepted standards of operation that meet both the requirements of business and the broader needs of society. The particular standards applied to quality, whether in service, manufacturing, or supply, are captured under ISO 9001:2008.
Why is ISO Certification Important?
Implementing the key elements of ISO assures the development, manufacture and supply of products and services in an efficient and professional manner. Companies seeking certification must voluntarily submit to a rigorous, time consuming evaluation process conducted by a select group of sanctioned registrars to receive certification under ISO. To remain ISO certified, companies are required to undergo annual surveillance audits.
