ATP ESG Report

ATP Electronics Publishes Its First Sustainability Report, Marking a Corporate Responsibility Milestone

From Industrial-Grade Memory Leader to the First Milestone on Our Net-Zero Journey

As a leading provider of industrial-grade memory and storage solutions, we have long focused on applications where “mission-critical means zero room for error.” From industrial automation and edge computing to medical and in-vehicle systems, ATP is used to operating in harsh conditions—high and low temperatures, vibration and 24/7 uptime—safeguarding the stability and integrity of critical data.

As the world faces climate change and resource constraints, we recognize that reliability should not be limited to product specifications alone; it must also extend to our responsibilities toward the environment and society. That is why we chose to take a proactive step—publishing our first Sustainability Report, openly sharing our progress and challenges, and turning sustainability from a checklist imposed on us into a path we consciously choose.

On this journey, we have already reached our first milestone: building a solid foundation for greenhouse gas inventories, launching energy-saving and emission-reduction initiatives, and participating in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) in 2024, This aligns us with the expectations of global brands and key customers on supply chain climate performance.

In this introductory section, we also recommend placing a prominent “Download ATP Sustainability Report” button together with a PDF icon, inviting visitors to access the full report right from the beginning and explore our sustainability commitments and performance in greater depth.

Looking ahead, we will use short- and mid-term carbon neutrality goals as stepping stones toward our long-term commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050, so that both our industrial leadership and our sustainability leadership can be seen in ATP.

Who We Are: Seeing Our Sustainability Responsibility from the Industrial Front Line

We come from the front lines of industries that demand the highest levels of stability and resilience.

In Taipei Neihu, we design our product and technology roadmaps. In Kaohsiung, our smart manufacturing facility turns those plans into industrial-grade memory and storage products that run in real-world systems. Across the United States, Europe, Japan and China, we stand alongside our customers at the forefront of the market, providing long-term, reliable supply and technical support for edge computing, AI, cloud and industrial control applications.

For many years, customers have chosen ATP because of our steadfast commitment to long-term reliability—not only that products must function, but that they must continue to operate stably over time in harsh environments. As sustainability has become a common language around the world, we realized that this reliability should also encompass reducing environmental impacts, caring for our people and communities, and honoring our responsibilities to supply chain partners.

Management’s Commitment to Sustainability : Executive Message

From our founder and CEO to the Chair of the Sustainability Steering Committee, we share one direction: ATP should not only lead in industrial-grade memory and storage, but also move ahead with our customers on the journey toward sustainability.

We harness AI to make our products smarter and more reliable, and we design new facilities as green, energy-efficient buildings so that every kilowatt-hour counts. Built on four pillars—Innovation & Quality, Corporate Responsibility, People & Community, and Environmental Stewardship—we drive six strategic priorities including employee growth, green innovation, energy and carbon reduction, smart manufacturing, responsible supply chains and green buildings, starting with a 1% annual reduction in carbon intensity.

For us, these are more than targets; they are daily choices for every ATP colleague. We invite you to join us in shaping the next milestone in our industrial-grade sustainability journey.

Making Sustainability Our Language: Vision, Mission and Strategy

Our vision is to become a global leader in industrial-grade memory and storage solutions, and we have enriched our mission with additional key themes: AI, green technologies, employee well-being and social value.

We distilled ATP’s sustainability blueprint into four pillars:
• Innovation and quality – ensuring that every product upgrade moves us toward higher performance, greater reliability and lower energy consumption.
• Corporate responsibility – building on integrity and transparent governance to strengthen risk management and disclosure.
• People and community – creating a safe, supportive and learning-oriented workplace, and turning employee passion into positive social impact.
• Environmental stewardship – promoting energy saving, carbon reduction, resource circularity and green buildings from our factories to our day-to-day operations.

Under these four pillars, we defined six strategic directions: employee well-being and development, green innovation, energy conservation and carbon reduction, smart manufacturing, supply chain management, and green building and energy efficiency. As a starting point, we aim to continuously reduce our carbon intensity year by year. Clear KPIs and regular reviews ensure that these goals are not just written in the report, but built into every annual business plan.

From Boardroom to Front Line: Bringing Governance and Sustainability Together

For us, sustainability is not the responsibility of a single department; it is a shared obligation across the entire organization.

With authorization from the Board of Directors, we established a Sustainability Steering Committee chaired by our Vice Chair to define overall direction and material topics and report regularly to the Board. We also formed a cross-functional Sustainability Committee so that teams in R&D, manufacturing, sales, HR, finance and IT all play clear roles along our sustainability pathway.

Following the GRI principles, we identify key stakeholder groups—employees, customers, suppliers, shareholders/Investors—and engage them through surveys, meetings, audits and day-to-day dialogue to understand the topics they care most about. We then apply a double materiality lens to assess which topics have the greatest impact on the environment and society and which are most critical to our financial performance and operations, ultimately building ATP’s own materiality matrix.

These material topics are not parked in an appendix. They are translated into concrete management approaches, indicators and action plans, and are linked to our risk management and internal audit mechanisms so that sustainability truly becomes part of corporate governance.

Moving Forward with Our Supply Chain: Extending Responsibility to Every Partner

We understand that the resilience of industrial-grade products is built on a stable and reliable supply chain. That is why we revisited our partnerships through the lens of responsible supply chain management.

ATP manages suppliers in line with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct and internal procurement policies by:
• Classifying suppliers based on the importance and criticality of the materials or services they provide;
• Rolling out self-assessment questionnaires (SAQs), on-site audits and performance evaluations for core and critical suppliers;
• Assessing quality (Q), delivery (D), cost (C) and service (S) in our evaluations;
• Providing more opportunities to high-performing suppliers while supporting underperforming partners with clear improvement plans and follow-up.

In social responsibility and hazardous substance management, we weave our requirements into new supplier qualification and ongoing audits, and ask most suppliers to sign written commitments to comply with ATP’s standards on human rights, environmental protection and product safety. Our aim is straightforward: every product that leaves ATP should embody not only industrial-level reliability, but also a supply chain where responsibility is visible at every step.

Towards Net Zero: Our Environment and Climate Actions

In the face of climate change, we choose not to remain bystanders.

Since 2020, we have conducted annual greenhouse gas inventories for our operations in line with ISO 14064-1 and local regulations, building a consistent data foundation for our decarbonization pathway. In 2024, our total GHG emissions were 2,247.97 tCOe, an 8.41% reduction compared with 2023. In the same year, total electricity consumption decreased by nearly 8%, showing that our energy-saving projects and process optimization efforts are already generating tangible results.

Strategically, we frame our energy and carbon management around three key principles: efficiency first, accelerated renewables and data-driven management:
• Upgrading equipment and investing in energy efficiency by introducing high-efficiency motors, LED lighting and energy-saving compressed air systems to reduce baseline consumption;
• Managing idle time and optimizing production scheduling to cut peak demand and avoid unnecessary energy waste;
• Gradually implementing energy monitoring systems to identify high-consumption hotspots and prioritize improvement actions based on real-time data;
• Planning heat recovery and renewable energy projects to support our future green power and carbon neutrality roadmap.

We also aligned ourselves with international assessment frameworks by participating in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). In 2024, meeting international customers’ expectations on supply chain climate performance and disclosure transparency.

Building on this foundation, we have drawn our roadmap: using short- and mid-term carbon neutrality targets as milestones and steadily advancing in three areas—energy efficiency, electricity mix and renewable energy—so that by 2050 we can achieve company-wide net-zero emissions. Our goal is for every kilowatt-hour we consume and every investment we make to move us closer to what future generations expect from us.

Putting People at the Center: Extending Sustainability from the Factory to Every Individual

For ATP, sustainability does not only happen in emissions tables; it also lives in the everyday experiences of each colleague and their family.

In Taiwan, we employ more than 400 people. Women account for over half of our workforce, reflecting a diverse and gender-balanced team. We comply with labor regulations and benchmark market practices to offer competitive and fair compensation, with entry-level salaries above the statutory minimum and benefits and insurance that go beyond legal requirements.

On talent development, we have built a comprehensive framework that spans onboarding, professional training and leadership development, and we have introduced AI Workshops and digital learning programs to encourage employees to bring AI tools and data applications into their daily work. Being able to use AI effectively is becoming part of ATP’s next stage of competitiveness.

We also leverage an ISO 45001-based management system and risk assessments to create a safe workplace, and we implement human rights policies and sexual harassment prevention measures with multiple reporting channels and a strict non-retaliation commitment, so that every colleague can work in an environment of respect.

Beyond offices and factories, we step into our communities by joining activities such as the ANZCham Charity Bike Ride, charity fairs with the Chung Yi Social Welfare Foundation, fun runs and blood drives. Through donations, charity sales and volunteer service, we extend ATP’s impact from products and revenue to places and people that deserve more attention.
