ATP Heads South — A Company Trip to Kenting

ATP Heads South — A Company Trip to Kenting

2026-05-28

The buses left before sunrise. By the time they reached Kenting later that morning the air had warmed and the sea was already in view — the southern tip of Taiwan, far enough from the office to feel like a different country, close enough that the whole company could come.

This year's company trip brought 230 colleagues from across ATP together. Engineering, manufacturing, quality, R&D, marketing, HR, and operations side by side — many of them seeing each other outside their team functions for the first time.

A company trip is a small thing on the surface. A day out, a meal, a few photos. But it is one of the rhythms that makes a company feel like a company rather than a building. People who normally meet across a meeting room table or a project thread sit on the same bus, talk about something other than the project, and find out about each other's families, weekends, and the small details that turn coworkers into colleagues.

Kenting gave the group room to do that. The coastline, the seafood, the heat that pushes everyone to slow down — and the simple fact of being out of the office, on the same trip, at the same time. We shared specific moments from the day, e.g. yacht party cruise, employee dinner banquet.

ATP is built around long timelines. Components that ship into industrial systems for five to ten years. Engineering cycles that span generations of NAND flash. The people behind that work need long timelines too — relationships that hold up through deadlines, problems solved at three in the morning, and the moments in between. A day in Kenting is not the whole picture. But it is one of the days the picture is built from.
